Sehgal Foundation invites applications for the position of Senior Program Lead on an annually renewable fixed-term contract.
Location: Gurugram, Haryana
Reporting: Implementation Lead
Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing Integrated Village Development Projects
Position Requirement:
- Master in Social Work/Social Science/Agriculture Engineering/Rural Management/Sustainable Development
- Good written and communications skills in English and Hindi and other regional languages
- Strong skills in team leadership, project management, and implementation
- Experience of working in specific thematic areas like agriculture/ nutrition/ women empowerment/ water management will be preferred
- Willingness to travel to remote field locations/villages
Job Description
The Senior Program Lead will oversee a host of integrated village development projects, ensuring effective implementation and providing leadership to field teams. Key responsibilities include monitoring project progress, coordinating operational and technical aspects, preparing progress reports, managing partner visits and reports, and providing administrative support. The role also involves developing annual plans and budgets, selecting new project locations, fostering innovation, and strengthening partnerships with government departments and district administrations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the planning, monitoring, and execution of project activities, including supervision and strategic guidance to ensure timely and effective implementation
- Build the skills and knowledge of project teams and beneficiaries in key aspects of integrated village development projects like agriculture, nutrition, women empowerment, water management, among others
- Conceptualize and support to generate knowledge products including innovative training materials and manuals, as per project requirements
- Develop and manage output, outcome, and impact matrices to evaluate project performance and ensure measurable results
- Provide timely approvals with regard to hiring of resources and all project related procurement as per organization’s policies
- Document and disseminate project success stories and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports
- Oversee and ensure timely submission of all project documentation as per partner requirements
- Establish and strengthen relationships with corporate partners, government departments, and community leaders to ensure project alignment with local needs and partner requirements
- Take on other tasks as assigned by management to meet organizational needs
