S M Sehgal Foundation invites applications for the position of Senior Program Lead on an annually renewable fixed-term contract.
Location: Gurugram, Haryana
Reporting: Principal Lead, Project Implementation
Experience: Minimum 10 years experience in managing Natural Resource Management Work.
Position Requirement:
- Master’s in Social Work/Social Science/Agriculture Engineering/Rural Management/Sustainable Development.
- Good written and communication skills in English, Hindi and other regional languages.
- Strong skills in team leadership, project management, and implementation.
- Knowledge of preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Work Measurements for infrastructure development work.
- Willingness to travel to remote field locations/villages.
Job Description
The Senior Program Lead oversees natural resource management projects, ensuring effective implementation and providing leadership to field teams. Key responsibilities include monitoring project progress, coordinating operational and technical aspects, preparing progress reports, managing partner visits and reports, and providing administrative support. The role also involves developing annual plans and budgets, selecting new project sites, encouraging innovation, and strengthening partnerships with government departments and district administrations. - Lead and coordinate the planning, monitoring, and execution of project activities, including supervision and strategic guidance to ensure timely and effective implementation.
- Build the skills and knowledge of project teams and beneficiaries in key aspects of natural resource management.
- Oversee the execution of water management projects, including check-dam construction, pond development, recharge wells, and watershed management.
- Develop and manage output, outcome, and impact matrices to evaluate project performance and ensure measurable results.
- Identify and introduce innovative technologies and solutions for natural resource management that are suitable for rural India.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with government departments, officials, and community leaders to ensure project alignment with local needs.
- Document and disseminate project success stories and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.
- Take on other tasks as assigned by management to meet organizational needs.
